Kathmandu, 30th December 1985

Dear Chris, Gerry and Anke,

We, Tenzin Woser and his parents left Kathmandu on 28 November an arrived safely at Budh Gaya.
On 1st of december, we went to meet H.H. the Dalai Lama. And His Hiliness blessed and cut Tenzin's hair. As well as His Hiliness gave the new name called Tenzin Kalsang Jigme.
His Holiness gave the Kalachakra initiation and other really effectionable advices. Including us, there were hundred thousands of people attending the occasion. The Kalachakra initiation is the main helpful means of the world peace.
Now, Tenzin Kalsang Jigme will be living at Drepung Monastery and Topden Rinpoche will be his teacher. They will be leaving Bodh Gaya at 5 January 1986.
After one year , Tenzin Kalsang Jigme, will be attended the monastery rules. For attending it,we have to spend something to all monks. We are expecting you at that ceremony. Of course we will let you know the exact date later. We have shown your letter to the monks and they were very happy and proud about you.
Dagyab people were strongly believed and respectful to Tenzin Kalsang Jigme as well as they are very helpful. Ven Dorje Tashi looks after Tenzin K. Jigme properly.

I have sent some pictures of Tenzin's coronation ceremony, I hope your received them. As well as we sent some postcards from Budh Gaya and again we are sending you a book called: Seven Years in Tibet. I hope it is useful to you.
Later I will send you pictures of Tenzin K. Jigme with his teacher. Nothing more to write. This much for today. Looking for your reply soon.

With all the best wishes.

Yours sincerely,
Dorjee Tashi, Tenzin K. Jigme, Wandu and Chokey
