Kathmandu,
24 February 1982
Dear Anke,
Thank you for your letter and news about yourself. Both Tsering Wangdu and Kesang
Dorje are fine, so am I too.
At the very moment the restaurant business is still in its pioneering stages. We
do hope in the coming days business will flourish. In the restaurant we sell mainly
Tibetan food like 'mo mo', 'dor pà' and other titbits. Though business is
catching up I feel that the location is not too good. If there would be a better
location, we do hope to shift but this depends a lot on how things develop in the
future.
My son's name, Kesang Dorje was given by Tutup Rinpoche (lama). Our son was born
on 7th Nov. 81 at 3.10 p.m. which we see as a real blessing.
Well, you asked about my age. I am now 24 years old and tha's a few years older than
you. My wife is 23 years old and that puts me a year older than her.As I write this
letter, it's the Tibetan Ne Year, which falls on the 24th of February.
We do wish you are here with us to celebrate the happy occasion.
I am sending some pictures of me and the family as remembrance also with a picture
of Tutup Rinpoche.
My wife who is presently in good health also need much rest as looking after our
child is hard work. At times I have to admit that she feels tired and I encourage
her to rest for a while.
Well, I feel that is all for now, so do write as soon as you are free to do so. Till
then, take care and regards to all.
Your friends,
Tsering and Chokey |
