Chokey, the baby Kesang Dorje and Tsering WangduKathmandu 21 December, 1981

Dear Chris, Gerry and Anke,

Now I will address you three friends very respectfully I will do. I received a letter and photograph from you and it was just like meeting you in person. We are very well, and doing our work well. My wife gave birth to a baby boy and it is one month and 6 days old. One foreigner, Mr. John took a picture of the baby and we two also and will send it. We talked to him for a little and he will send you a letter about us and my letter that I am writing. We are looking forward hearing from you and feel great luck and thankfulness to God that we know you.

We have started a small food restaurant and we work hard trying to make it successful. Maybe someday you can come and enjoy it and eat with us. We thank God that we are making a new home here, after losing our beloved country Tibet. When do you think you are returning to Nepal? We are thinking of you all the time. We hope your health is good and you are happy in the Netherlands. I am most apologizing for my poor writing.

Your devoted friends,

Chokey and Tsering Wangdu
