Tsering Wangdu, Gerry, Chokey and Anke during the celebration of the birthday of the King of Nepal December 28, 1980We met Tsering Wangdu and Chokey in December 1980 in Kathmandu in Nepal.
Tsering was a young refugee from Tibet. His father had told him to seek freedom in Nepal. There he met Chokey and they were both taken care of by the Summit Hotel

Just before we left for home, Chokey asked to be friend with our daughter, Anke.
And that was the beginning of an unexpected story.
The story of Kesang Dorje, the son of Tsering Wangdu and Cokey Wangdu, who was recognised as a living re-incarnationd of the late Dagyab Chungtsang Rinpoche.
